Pressed Metal Frames

Metal door frames are cost-effective and easy to fit whilst maintaining a strong resistance to wear-and-tear. Certain models of these frames are tested and certified for fire doors. Metal composition options include Zincanneal, Galvanised Steel, and Stainless Steel . Frames are supplied ready for installation in all types of masonry and stud walls with hinge and lock striker preparations.

Timber Frames

Timber frames have a natural aesthetic appeal and can offer superior insulation properties. Spence Doors' Timber Frames are tested and certified for use in 1-Hour fire doors. Timber is suited to easily painting or staining to match any decor, available in MDF and KDHW with Vic Ash and other timbers are available on request. Availability spans Pre-Hung, Knock-Down, & Split-Jamb frames.

Extending the Door Frame

Framing components are available for the extension of door sets beyond their standard dimensions. Transom and Mullion components permit the installation of overlights and sidelights respectively. These frames are also tested in specific configurations of Spence Doors' Fire-Rated Doors so can host the fitting of an additional Fire Door or Fire-Rated Panel above the door.

Preparations

All frames are supplied with hinge and latch preparations complete for your door set. Discuss with our team to have preparations for supplementary hardware like Door Closers included. Spence Doors provide additional services to make on-site fitting as straight-forward as possible such as the pre-hanging of door leaf in its frame for time saving and ensurance of correct fit.
