Pre-Hung Doors
Doors hung on timber frames during production stage to arrive on project site ready for installation. This service encompasses non-rated Flush Panel Doors and 1-Hour Rated Fire Doors.
By standard, door leaves will arrive on the project site with the necessity of hanging on their frame along with the fitting of hardware like hinges. This can be completed by the Spence Doors team as soon as the doors production is complete in order to cut down on project site time and labour dedicated to installation.
Pre-Hung Possibilities
The pre-hanging service applies to non-rated doors encompassing both Solid Core and Semi-Solid variants. Additionally, 1-Hour Fire-Rated Doors with Timber Frames may be pre-hung.
The Process
Step 1 | Door & Frame Production
The door leaf and door frame are manufactured in one of Spence's factories. They are each built for perfect pairing with one another in accordance with specification details.
Step 2 | Cutout Preparations
All rebates required of the door leaf and frame are cutout. These are transcribed by a CNC machine specific to the dimensions of specified hardware. Displayed is a team member preparing for the screw cutouts for hinges.
Step 3 | Hardware Fitting
The doorset's hardware is fitted in order for on-site installation be as quick and easy as possible. Displayed are Meeting Stiles fitted at the meeting point of a double doorset.
Step 4 | Door Hanging
The door leaf is hung to its frame with the fitting of all hinges completed.
Step 5 | Swing Test
The doorset is tested for functionality with an upright check for swing and closure.
Step 6 | Ready To Go
The pre-hung doorsets are ready for a simple on-site installation to your project.
