The steps involved in having your door painted by the Spence team.

  • A rack of paint tins

    1. Colour Pick

Select the palette appropriate for your design.

  • Factory worker laying an undercoat on a door

    2. Undercoating

An undercoating layer is applied to the door leaf in preparation of its painting.

  • A room of white painted doors in a factory

    3. Painting

The painting process to seal and deliver the aesthetic finish of your door.

  • Doors hung up for curing

    4. Hanging & Curing

Hanging the door in a controlled environment where ventilation and moisture conditions are suitable for effective drying and curing.

Benefits

The advantages to having your door painted during the manufacturing stage.

  • Time Efficient

The door installer simply needs to hang the door with no further painting and sealing layers to be completed.

  • Cost Efficient

Save on cost by saving on labour. The reduction in on-site labour allows for a quicker submission of progress claims and to move on to the next project.

  • Safe Site

A safe job site without the exposure to the chemicals of paint eliminated. Pre-painting contributes to the health and safety of workers.

  • Risk Elimination

Leaving doors unsealed on-site presents the risk of moisture entering the door leaf and compromising its structure. This is not a concern with a pre-painted and sealed door.
