Metal Cavity Units

A custom-made steel cavity unit pre-assembled for ease and efficiency of installation. The rigid material of the metal frame is built for durability in high-traffic doorways and the rigours of residential, commercial, and industrial spaces. The unit is complete with a track-and-carrier system curated for smooth operation along the galvanised steel twin track. Designed to hold rigid form over time and use, the carrier also glides along the track quietly on its nylon wheels.

Details

Standard units are designed to suit a clearance under the door of 20mm adjustable to 6mm and to be direct mounted to finished floor surface. The cavity is available in two models capable of carrying an 80kg and 180kg load respectively. The pocket is versatile in application to accommodate a series of architectural settings. A single or double door may be formed with the cavity whilst the door's fitting may be flush or proud of the opening/closing jamb.

Models

The standard model available in two variations - one suitable for door leafs up to 80kg, and one for door leafs from 80 - 180kg. The system features a spring-loaded bracket for easy installation. This model leaves an approx. 20mm clearance above the door where the track-and-roller hardware is visible and requires a pelmet to cover. This gap provides the ability for easy adjustability without the removing the door from its track.

The premium model to minimise the service gap above the door. Its design brings the four-wheel trolley closer to the upper side of the door, thereby reducing the space in between the door leaf and track. Perfect for a minimalist aesthetic finish particularly in floor-to-ceiling installations. The reduced gap eliminates the need for pelmet cover strips.

Options

Upgrades

The Soft Close mechanism brings enhanced smoothness to the closure of a cavity slider. Designed to catch the door upon closure action, it eliminates the risk of banging doors shut and of jamming fingers in the opening.

Constructed with a heavy-duty aluminum track capable of supporting up to 70kg. Curated for easy installation and provides flexibility down the line as it may be easily adjusted, removed or retrofitted at a later point.
