Laminated Doors
Doors finished with a laminates for protective door face covering and a visually sleek finish. The laminated layer serves a protective function to the door's face against impact or scratches. Well suited to mitigate damage from the likes of slamming on closure or being struck by an object. This contributes to a door set that requires fewer maintenance costs and a greater lifespan before replacement.
Pre-Finished
Laminates - unlike veneers - are a composite material that is pre-finished and so requires no further preparation on-site. Laminates offer cost and labour efficiency as a result as the door just requires hanging.
Versatile
The visual versatility of laminates allows for the look of timber or metal to be mimicked, or the hosting of a print/pattern, or a solid colour. Additionally, the grain texture and sheen of its finish define its look specific to your design vision. The smooth quality of a laminate's surface makes for easy cleaning and select laminates also have anti-microbial properties. This is appropriate for settings requiring regular sanitation like healthcare facilities.
Select laminates compositional qualities are fire retardant and/or chemical resistant for safety purposes.

Note: This is subject to tested configurations of fire door sets; Spence offer fire door sets with laminates that meet compliance requirements, but this is not applicable to all door sets within these fire-rated categories.
Options
A thick material featuring a protective overlay. The result in a very tough laminate suited to impact resistance in high-traffic areas.
Cost effective option for the visual finish and providing some resistance to general wear-and-tear to the door’s face including low impact and scratches.
A stiff material made of Engineered PETG plastic – free of PVC. This provides high resistance against impact among laminate options. Suited to settings where there is high exposure to impact and scratches.

Edge Strips are commonly applied to Laminated Doors as these vertical sections protect the laminate's edges from damage and peeling.
Vision Panel
Vision Panels for room-to-room visibility often required in healthcare and commercial settings. Laminates and other door facings can be prepared for the cutout to be made during manufacture.
Ventilation Grille
A grille fitted to the door's face to promote ventilation between rooms. This supports a building's HVAC systems with controlling appropriate airflow. The door can be prepared for the cutout to be made during manufacture.
