Timber is also a suitable choice for construction ease as the frame can be easily painted or stained to match any decor.
Versatile to your needs and preference with compositional optionality in MDF, Pine & Hardwood (other materials avaialbe on request). Bespoke frames are made-to-order and pre-hung to perfectly match the door leaf and hardware. Knock-down and split-jamb timber frames provide alternatives to accommodate project and budget needs.

MDF, Pine & Hardwood are the standard timber frame materials available at Spence Doors (other timber species may be specified on request). Each represents a distinct visual finish and budget accommodation.
MDF
Medium Density Particleboard is an engineered wood crafted from wood fibres combined with resin. It hosts a smooth and consistent finish and is well suited to budget projects. Strictly suitable for low-moisture environments.
Pine
Hosts a sought-after natural timber finish. Pine offers great moisture resistance properties, although is restricted to internal application.
Hardwood
A premium option with a beautiful warm finish with minimal imperfections. The material is structurally sound for a particularly sturdy door set to hold form over time and use. Hardwood can be used in sheltered external application.
The standard timber frame option featuring a made-to-order frame that is delivered as an assembled frame. This is fit with corner brackets and a spreader bar for safe transportation.
A frame supplied as a flat-pack ready to be assembled on site. The frame is prepared by Spence Doors with hinge cutouts made during manufacture. The jambs and stops not being pre-fixed together allows for the door leaf thickness to be gauged next to the frame and opening and fitting of the stop accordingly.
A frame split into two sections - one for either side of the opening. These sections are assembled with the door pre-hung; each slips into the wall opening and slots into one another and are to be fixed together.
